What is this role about? 

A product development specialist’s main job is to develop products, strategies, and business plans for upcoming products within our company. You will watch market trends to develop plans that will increase sales, establish deadlines, and ensure the product development projects are on schedule. Product development specialists need to communicate with other departments and vendors on the status of the product, as well as provide clear guidelines for the project and solicit and incorporate feedback.


Serendipity Education is searching for Product Specialists (independent contractors) in either of the following areas of focus:

What does your typical day look like?

Our product development specialists spend the majority of their day working on key areas and tasks related to making our product line extraordinary:

  • Design, Execute, and Manage Projects
  • Research and Compile Reports on the State of the Industry, Trend Forecasts, and Competitive Analysis
  • Assist in the Development and Implementation of Operational Guidelines and Objectives for the Product Portfolio
  • Develop Prototypes and Document Product Specifications
  • Evaluate Consumer Preferences Using Internal Tools and turn them into Recommendations for Product Enhancement or Innovation

What do I need to be successful?
  • 5+ Years Of Experience Working In One Of Our Key Product Areas: Data Science; Predictive Analytics; Strategic & Operational Planning; Grantwriting; Continuous School Improvement/Turnaround; Leadership Development; Executive Coaching
  • Experience In Business Development
  • Strong Analytical, Diagnostic, Critical Thinking And Project Management Skills
  • Exceptional Interpersonal And Written Communications Skills
  • Ability To Travel Up To 5% Within The U.S.
  • Bachelor’s Degree Required
  • Proficient User Of Microsoft Office Applications Including Word, Excel, Powerpoint And Access

Please note that this position is for independent contractors who can join our company intermittently to assist with initial development of our product lineup.
